Synopsis

​

Latin America in Motion draws a map of communications throughout the region. It is a co-production involving ten countries - Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Peru. The project is organized around four themes: communications industry structure, its operating modes , recent changes in legislation and the movements of Community and alternative communication in each country. Through a comparative approach, scholars, experts in political economy of communication, journalists and social movements coordinators discuss the communication monopolies and the strive for democratization of information as a regional phenomenon.
