Producer

Fernando Muniz (producer / actor / director) began his career as an actor in the 80s. In 1982, he participated in the play " Capitães da Areia " at the Ipanema Theater. In 83, he starred in "The Flying Pigs" at Vannucci Theater, in the same year, he also starred in "The Caucasian Chalk Circle," written by Bertolt Brecht at Park Lage.

In the 90s, he moved to Milan, where he worked as a lyric singer, under the direction of great maestros like Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Chailly and Romano Gandolfi and as an opera producer.

In 2011, he founded FM Produções as a producer and distributor, where he gained international prestige for the co-production of CINEMA NOVO, directed by Eryk Rocha, awarded with L`Oeil D`Or as Best Documentary at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016, in addition to of Colombo de Plata at the Hueva Festival and Best Collateral Documentary Award for the Latin American Film Foundation at the Havana Festival.

In 2013, she performed and distributed the film "Requiem for Laura Martin". He also starred in the films " Em 97 Era Assim ", "Nova Amsterdam" and "Mi Mundial".

FM is also an associate producer of the feature film “La Tierra Roja”, directed by Diego Martinez Vignatti, produced by Trivial Media of Argentina, Panda Filmes and Entre Chien & Loup from Belgium and the feature “Soundtrack”, directed by the 300ml and produced by Zohar Cinema, Ananã Produções with Selton Mello, Seu Jorge and Ralph Ineson and co-producer of the feature film "Nova Amsterdam", as well as “Human Persons”, a co-production with Spain, Venezuela, Panama and USA.

As producer he participates in the film “O Catador de Sonhos”.
